Hip pain

Hips can give us grief walking, running or even sitting cross legged. There are multiple reasons we can experience pain so it’s important to get it seen to by professionals.

How we can help

Sometimes yes, they do just “come right” but in such a complex ball and socket joint, the ligaments, tendons and cartilage can take some time to heal. Physio can help speed up recovery.

Labral tears

Deep hip pain, with sitting, squatting that clicks or locks can indicate the cartilage in the joint is injured. Usually most recover with physiotherapy and strengthening but we can refer you for specialist input should you need.

Gluteal tendinopathy

Pain on the side of your hip with standing, running or certain movements can indicate dysfunctional tendons that require targeted strength work.

Hip flexor pain

Clicking at the front of your hip? We can provide strengthening, release work and address faulty biomechanics to strengthen the hip.

Piriformis syndrome

Pain in the middle of the glute region can be compression of the sciatic nerve. We use nerve-based exercises to release the muscle and reduce pain.

SIJ dysfunction

Fractures

Hamstring tear

Osteoathritis

Bursitis

Neck of femur fracture
