Ankle and Foot Injuries

Rolled ankles, fractures, aches and pains can limit us from walking, running, jumping and day to day life. Get it sorted with us. We provide comprehensive care and can get you back to your full potential.

How we can help

Sometimes yes, they do just “come right” but often ligaments, tendons and muscles do not always revert back to how they were. That’s where we come in, preventing long term damage and restoring immediate movement, strength and function.

Ankle sprains

From crutches, moonboot or cast, damaged ligaments require specific stability and strengthening to regain function. Sports player? It’s imperative we run you through sport specific loading, jumping and landing drills to build functional capacity, otherwise - you may re-roll and re-injure very easily.

Fractures/Surgery

After surgery, physiotherapy is important to regain a full recovery. We use our hands on techniques to improve stiffness, pain and get you walking and back to normal life.

Plantar fasciitis

Waking up with pain on walking or getting pain under your foot? There are loads of ankle issues we can suffer from, but we can help guide you to a full recovery.

Tendinopathies

Getting pain during exercise or a run, weather it’s sharp or achy, can mean tendons aren’t working properly. We strengthen them and get ands on to improve biomechanics and loading capacity.

Achilles tendon

Snap, pop?

We can strain or rupture our achilles tendon, located at the back of our ankle and lower calf. We encourage you to visit your local A&E for confirmation if you’re unable to walk and felt a large snap. We can also welcome you in to send you off for this process as you may require surgery. Not all do though.

We engage with a variety of loading in your rehab to restore optimal function. You need to be loading, doing isometrics, jumps, bounds, pogos and slowly building gradual running capacity.

If you have an old injury, welcome to book in also and we can help improve your overall function.
