Lauren Short
Managing DirectorI have always had a genuine passion for helping people. My caring nature and hard work ethic has enabled me to provide professional, quality and meaningful physiotherapy over the last 12 years throughout south and east Auckland.
I’ve looked after all ages, various sports teams, your everyday gym goer to top level athletes.
This is my second business in the industry. I therefore bring a wealth of knowledge to movement east & have strong desires to grow a team of like-minded practitioners that share my passion for assessing and treating injuries.
I love empowering people, combining evidence-based injury management with strategies in real life experiences that successfully work and enable us to physically thrive.
I’m big on firm manual therapy and needling. I like to make change. You’ll never leave without an understanding for how to manage your injury and you’ll have tools to strengthen & better your biomechanics/weaknesses.
I love working with shoulders and hips as well as ACL/Post op rehabilitation. I also enjoy complex injuries and helping people with second opinions or with older injuries they feel like you’ve recovered from, I’m determined to help you get better. I love working with people and helping them feel like they’ve achieved something.
What kind of practitioner are you?I am a Mum to a beautiful four-year-old boy, so my time is often with him. I love spending time with my friends/family also. Outside of that, my Crossfit gym is my second home & I love anything active (running, swimming, being outdoors somewhere!)
What do you like to do in your spare time?
